När en person drabbas av cancer hamnar fokus av förklarliga skäl oftast på patienten. Men även anhöriga vid sidan av påverkas och ställs inför starka känslor och existentiella frågor, och kappslar kanske in dessa för att inte ytterligare belasta patienten. Personer i omgivningen och det sociala nätverket vet ibland inte vad de ska säga och kanske drar sig undan.
