Cognitive reframing

Cognitive reframing, also referred to as cognitive restructuring, is a technique used to view a situation differently, from a different perspective.

The technique can help identify and dispute irrational or maladaptive thoughts, which are commonly associated with mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety.

Simply put, cognitive restructuring can help in trying to identify automatic negative thoughts and replace them with more positive ones, thereby promoting health.
