Although a power nap cannot replace a good night’s sleep, it can have beneficial effects.

It increases alertness and reduces stress levels.

It boosts creativity.

It enhances your mood, alertness and memory, and helps fight fatigue.

Power naps should not last more than 20 to 30 minutes to avoid going into deep sleep mode. Just find a quiet and peaceful place to rest and reload your batteries with a short nap!

Great suggestion! I know the temptation to go beyond 20-30 minutes is strong, and whenever I nap I do try to keep it under 20 minutes.

This is not a representative power nap picture. The exposed female suffers from several parasomnias. Exhibited behavior of her sleep disorders can range from mild teeth grinding to severe sleepwalking. Constantly in a deep sleep mode.

I bet she occasionally takes her owner out for a pleasant stroll when she happens to be in her sleepwalking mode… Maybe to the local restaurant KG? She is terribly cute anyway.
